The San Diego North Economic Development Council has announced the nominees for its annual SDNEDC Luncheon and Award Presentation. Quantum Learning Network has been nominated in the category of Education.

Headquartered in Oceanside, Quantum Learning Network is a worldwide leader in learning and life skills training. More than 53,000 students have graduated from QLN's SuperCamp
academic summer camps since the program launched in 1982.

QLN's Quantum Learning Education division provides
professional staff development training in Quantum Learning methods to teachers in elementary, middle and high school. QL Education also trains students directly in programs that develop their learning skills, life skills and character. QL Education offers school and district administrator training programs geared to building effective leadership skills.

SuperCamp provides students in sixth grade through college with valuable skills that studies have shown help increase grade, confidence, self-esteem and motivation. These programs are held on prestigious school campuses, such as Stanford, UCLA and Wake Forest, each summer. All camps are residential, meaning the students reside on-campus for the duration. Camps vary in length from seven days to 10 days.

Bobbi DePorter, president of Quantum Learning Network, expressed her gratitude in having her company recognized with the nomination. "While we're an international company, QLN is very involved in North County San Diego," said DePorter. "This year, in fact, our Learning Forum International non-profit education company launched Communities of Excellence in four schools in Oceanside."

Communities of Excellence is a character-education program for schools that provides teachers with monthly character curriculum built around Ms. DePorter's 8 Keys of Excellence. Learning Forum International is looking to tie in with a corporate sponsor in early 2010 to offer the program free to schools nationwide for fall 2010.

The SDNEDC Luncheon is scheduled for Dec. 3, at the California Center for the Arts in Escondido.

More information on Quantum Learning Network's education programs, including both its teacher, administrator and student training and its
teen summer camps is available at www.QLN.com and by calling 800-285-3276.
