Provided by Palomar Pomerado Health The Diabetes Health Department at Palomar Pomerado Health (PPH) is recognizing American Diabetes Month by hosting two free diabetes events in November. A registered nurse and a registered dietician will be available to answer questions and provide information on what diabetes is, how to control it, and what to do to lower the risks of diabetes. All attendees will receive free diabetes handouts and giveaways. Diabetes is a serious disease that leads to potentially life-threatening complications such as heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, blindness and amputation. November is American Diabetes Month, a time to communicate the seriousness of diabetes and the importance of prevention and control. Join PPH and the American Diabetes Association on Thursday, Nov. 12 and Friday, Nov. 13, in launching a national movement to stop diabetes - help us confront it, and fight it.
