It's "CSI" meets Bethlehem! The infamous Sister of Late Nite Catechism is on the case, solving the greatest story never told: The Mystery of the Magi's Gold.
It will be one O-Ho-Ho holy night as the Mission San Luis Rey Parish hosts the award-winning comedy “Sisters Christmas Catechism, The Mystery of the Magi's Gold” on Friday, Dec. 7.
As she points out in her opening, "We know what happened to the myrrh and the frankincense - Mary used them as a sort of potpourri. They were in a barn after all. But who was the culprit who made off with the gold coins and left Mary, Joseph, and the infant Jesus in that lousy stable without any chance to upgrade to a suite?
With special forensic tools and audience-participation, Sister proceeds to solve the mystery in a hilarious evening of fun - inviting her audience to be characters in a living nativity and crime scene.
A Gala Pre-show Reception has been planned for those who purchase tickets in the VIP Gold Circle. At this special reception, Gold Circle attendees will have the opportunity to meet and visit with “Sister” before the performance. The show starts at 7 p.m., with the reception kicking off at 5:30 p.m..
