On July 23, the La Jolla-based Pacific Coast Harmony Chorus will debut on the Moonlight Amphitheatre stage and open the fourth season of "Summer Jazz at the Moonlight," a four-concert series produced jointly by the Big Band & Jazz Hall of Fame and the city of Vista.

Recognized as one of the best a cappella choral groups in Southern California, the all-male, 35-member Pacific Coast Harmony chorus delivers a combination of expressive singing and choreographed routines that elicit standing ovations at every performance.

The magic of the chorus and quartets add a thrilling dimension to their repertoire of popular American music that includes Broadway show tunes, jazz, swing, stirring renditions of patriotic music and songs of faith.

Under the direction of Kim Hulbert, the singers come from all walks of life - doctors, policemen, attorneys, engineers, CEOs, students - and share a common mission to perform the highest quality of four-part a cappella harmony for audiences to experience and enjoy.

Featured guest performers include the Los Angeles-based vocal jazz quartet, Ready, Willing & Mabel, who sing "dangerously close harmonies" that have been described as compelling, mesmerizing and "a cocktail for the ear."

Show time is at 7 p.m., with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale through VisTix by calling 760-724-2110 or going to www.vistixonline.com. Season tickets for all four "Summer Jazz at the Moonlight" concerts range from $50 - $85. Single tickets range from $15 - $25, with a $2 discount for seniors, students and military.
