Fourth of July Fun in North County!

Summer is officially here! With it, of course, comes the celebration of Independence Day. A host of activities will be going on in the area. Below, you’ll find which one will suit your Fourth of July fancy. From spectacular fireworks displays, to great food and fun entertainment, there is something for everybody in North County. Be sure to check out the websites listed for all the details!

CARLSBAD

Four Seasons

Even if you live in North County, you might want to consider being a guest at the Four Seasons for some Independence Day fun. Hotel guests will see the sky come alive with a brilliant fireworks show. Family activities, a live concert and poolside barbecue will add to this special holiday.

LEGOLAND

LEGOLAND is calling their 2008 fireworks display nothing short of awe-inspiring this year. The show begins at 8:30 p.m, but beforehand, kids and family will have fun with those memorable picnic games: water balloon tosses, paper airplane contests and burlap sack races. A live concert by Kahuna Cowboys Jug Band will toss in some more foot-stomping fun.

ESCONDIDO

Before you arrive to Grape Day Park in Escondido, don’t forget to pack a picnic and head on over for a fun-filled family time. The day will be full of music, magicians, art projects, and, at the end, a sparking fireworks show.

OCEANSIDE

OFest Summer Beach Festival

OFest Fourth of July activities start at 10 a.m., giving you plenty of time to soak in the holiday fun. This site will be brimful of live music, food, activities and shopping. And when the sun goes down, guests will enjoy an amazing fireworks show from the Pier.

SAN MARCOS

For some great food, music, kid fun, enjoyable games, and a spectacular fireworks show, head on over to Bradley Park in San Marcos. The Fourth of July festivities begin at 6 p.m., and the fireworks extravaganza will begin at 9 p.m. Dana the Magician his comedy magic show will perform at 6 p.m. and again at 7:30 p.m.

Earlier that day at Bradley Park, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., the Kiwanis Club of San Marcos is holding a blood drive. If you want to make a difference to the lives of others, the Kiwanis Club welcomes you. For more information, call 760-480-4609.

VISTA

The park will open at 7 a.m., which means you can spend the whole Fourth of July having an incredibly fun time. The day will be plentiful with family-friendly things to do, food and beverage booths galore and musical entertainment. Vintage military equipment will also be on exhibit. Their impressive fireworks display will begin at 9 p.m.
